Healthwatch Herefordshire

www.healthwatchherefordshire.co.uk       info@healthwatchherefordshire.co.uk

As part of a national scheme, every local council in England have their own Healthwatch. Through our focus groups, forums, online surveys and feedback centre, Healthwatch Herefordshire listens to local people and then speaks up on their behalf in order to influence the delivery and design of health and social care services in the county.

Our current projects are adult mental health, men’s health, falls prevention and social isolation and reasonable adjustments. Surveys for these can be found on our website along with a whole host of other information.  We’re aware that many people aren’t online so if you’d like a hard copy version posted out to you, call us on Tel: 01432 277044. We really would value your opinion.

We know that the coronavirus pandemic is a difficult time and it is important that you seek help if you are struggling. We have created a list of free national helpline numbers along with some local ones in case you need them.

Credenhill Open Spaces Restrictions Update

Roman Park

The open space will remain open so that you can have your daily exercise, alone or with members of your household. Children under 16 must be supervised by an adult member of your household. No playing ball games or contact sports No using the play equipment, it is impossible to fully cordon it all off so we are trusting you all to act responsibly. The gate is fixed open so that nobody needs to come into contact with the gate. Try not to come into contact with any hard surfaces. We will monitor how this goes and if the rules are broken then sadly we will have to enforce a full closure. The parish council will monitor this on a daily basis.

Dovecote Lane Play Park

This is the responsibility of Herefordshire Council, a sign has been put up and the small play area is now closed. The green open space will remain open for your one form of exercise a day – alone or with members of your household. Under 16’s are to be supervised by an adult from their household at all times. No ball games or contact sports. Please pick up after your dog.

Credenhill Park Woods

Will remain open and all gates have been left/tied open. Please do not touch any hard surfaces. Please observe the 2 meters social distancing measure and only use the woods for your one form of exercise a day – alone or with members of your household. Update (25/03/2020 14:00) – The side access next to the church/care home has been closed to reduce the risk of care home staff coming into contact with the general public.

ROAD CLOSURES – MARCH 2020 – 20.03.2020

Please keep an eye on Twitter@HfdsStreets for all latest updates, in particular relating to the emergency road closures and other highway repair works as a result of Storm Dennis.  Alternatively, please visit www.roadworks.org as this shows all road works currently in place on the network, whether this be traffic lights or road closures.

Apart from the weather continuing to play an active role in our programme,  the pandemic is also having an effect on the workforce and supply chain so the programme can change at any time and sometimes, unfortunately, with little notice.

Update from St Mary’s Church

The Archbishops of Canterbury and York have cancelled all public worship until further notice.  This means that all regular services are cancelled.  However, St Mary’s Church here in Credenhill will remain open for private prayer and there are prayer leaflets available to take away.

We have also set up a confidential telephone support system, operated by volunteers from the church, for anyone in the parish who needs someone to talk about any issues they are going through.

Please ring Rana on 01432 760443 to access this. The church continues to pray for all who are affected by coronavirus COVID19 in any way.

The Mothers Day Service will be contucted online via a live video to the Magnis Group Facebook Page
