Theft of Lead from Field House

It is with disappointment that we report the Theft of Lead from the Roof of Field House in Credenhill. Formerly the School when the village was much smaller and now home to the Kindergarten who operate a nursery with very limited funds.

The theft occurred some time in the last week and as you can see from the photos a significant amount of Lead has been stolen.

The police have been informed and local scrap dealers will be made aware of the very distinctive pattern.

If you have any information then please get in touch.

Fly Tipping 7th January – Credenhill to Tillington Road

The land owners are now dealing with a mixture of fly tipped rubbish that was dumped on land alongside the Tillington – Credenhill Road some time on the 7th January 2021. As the fly tipping was done on private farm land it is the responsibility of the land owner to dispose of the rubbish.

The land owner reported:

“As you will see from the attached photos, we are yet again suffering an increase in fly tipping, this time on the Credenhill – Tillington road. This despoils our countryside, is extremely bad for the environment, and is illegal.

Anyone caught fly-tipping will be prosecuted, and this will lead to a criminal record and a significant fine. The maximum penalty is a £50,000 fine and/or 5 years imprisonment. We will now be installing CCTV in various locations along the Credenhill-Tillington and Credenhill-Burghill roads. Hereford Police Rural Crimes team have been informed and will be increasing patrols in this area.

I would be grateful if you could draw attention to this issue in the CCN.”

If you recognise any of the Waste or witnessed the incident then please get in touch with us. Is this waste yours and you paid somebody to dispose of it for you then please get in touch and let us know.
