War Memorial

There are several war memorials in Credenhill; the main one is located in the grounds of St Mary’s C of E Primary School and is dedicated to First World War (1914-1918).

The memorial lists the names of those who served in the First World War from Credenhill and District – Roll of Honor

The memorial was built by local resident, Edith Mary Ecroyd (1853-1943) in 1916, there is an inscription on the stone “ERECTED BY E.M.E 1916”
