Iron Age Hill Fort

There is a very large Iron Age hill fort (occupied circa 750BC – 45AD) situated in Credenhill Park Wood. The hill fort known as Credenhill Camp is the second largest in Britain and listed as a monument. This monument is scheduled under the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Areas Act 1979 as amended as it appears to the Secretary of State to be of national importance.
