Major utility works being undertaken during April 2020

Appreciating that the highways are quieter at present, some of our Utility colleagues are utilising road space so to make the most of the current low levels of traffic on key routes in the city.  Please note that these dates are subject to the lockdown continuing for a period of time but should it be lifted, then these dates will be reviewed to determine the potential impact on the network.   Such works include the following:-

Hinton Road, Hereford

Start: Tuesday, 14 April 2020 for 2 weeks

3-way traffic signals – works at the Hinton Crescent End.  Note: not in the area recently resurfaced.

Utility Company: Cadent

Grandstand Road, Hereford

Start: Tuesday, 21 April 2020 to (and including) Friday, 24 April 2020

2-way traffic signals – Remedial works Faraday Road down to Armadale Close

Utility Company: Welsh Water

A438 Lugg Flats

Start: 21 April 2020 for 2 weeks

2-way traffic signals – Remedial works following relaying of 66kv cables in 2017

Utility Company: WPD

Whitecross Road, Hereford

Start: Friday, 24 April 2020 for 7/8 days

2-way traffic signals – Approx 70 mtr from the Monument roundabout; also working on the roundabout with inside lane closure

Utility Company: Cadent

Barton Road, Hereford

Start: Tuesday, 28 April 2020 for 2 weeks

2-way traffic signals – Near Station Road end of Barton Road
