Roman Park – Survey
In December 2021 the Parish Council successfully applied for a grant for an outdoor fitness zone at the Roman Park. This was successfully installed in April and has now been in place for just over 6 months.
A condition of the grant application is that we provide feedback on the project, we therefore need your help to give this feedback.
By providing feedback it will ensure that we can apply for further grants in the future and we are interest to hear your opinions and get your ideas for future projects.
Please complete the below survey for your household:
Roman Park Fitness Zone – Supplier Selection
Since obtaining funds in December for an outdoor fitness zone we have contacted 9 suppliers to prepare initial proposals for the project. All were given the same brief and budget and we have now received proposals from 4 suppliers; 3 suppliers were unable to meet the timescales proposed, 1 declined not to take part as they are primarily focused on schools and we are waiting to hear from the final company.
All suppliers provide equipment with similar warranties and have a proven track records providing services to the Local Authority market. Some suppliers have provided a couple of options to consider. All equipment is robust and satisfies the necessary british standards required to endure a hard life of service in a public open space.
At the next Parish Council meeting we are hoping to make a decision on which supplier to use based on the designs provided and a number of other determining factors. The exact equipment, location within the park and layout with then be finalised by working with the selected provider
Please see below proposals and supplier details; please let us know which supplier you would choose?

Credenhill Open Spaces Restrictions Update
Roman Park
The open space will remain open so that you can have your daily exercise, alone or with members of your household. Children under 16 must be supervised by an adult member of your household. No playing ball games or contact sports No using the play equipment, it is impossible to fully cordon it all off so we are trusting you all to act responsibly. The gate is fixed open so that nobody needs to come into contact with the gate. Try not to come into contact with any hard surfaces. We will monitor how this goes and if the rules are broken then sadly we will have to enforce a full closure. The parish council will monitor this on a daily basis.
Dovecote Lane Play Park
This is the responsibility of Herefordshire Council, a sign has been put up and the small play area is now closed. The green open space will remain open for your one form of exercise a day – alone or with members of your household. Under 16’s are to be supervised by an adult from their household at all times. No ball games or contact sports. Please pick up after your dog.
Credenhill Park Woods
Will remain open and all gates have been left/tied open. Please do not touch any hard surfaces. Please observe the 2 meters social distancing measure and only use the woods for your one form of exercise a day – alone or with members of your household. Update (25/03/2020 14:00) – The side access next to the church/care home has been closed to reduce the risk of care home staff coming into contact with the general public.

Credenhill Rangers FC
We are thrilled to be given the opportunity to run an adult, men’s 11 a side Sunday League football team from the Roman Park, Credenhill. We were formed in 2005 as Burghill Rangers FC by Will Cheshire and Will Jones, after much success, Sunday League B Champions 2016 / 2017, Addison Cup Winners 2010 (vs Hereford City at Edgar Street, Hereford on penalties) and two runners up in North Sunday League. We decided to move to Credenhill. Most of the team came with me and we have added several quality local lads to strengthen the squad.
So far this season we have won one (11-0 vs Whitecross) drawn one (5-5 vrs Hereford City Harriers) and lost two very close matches 2-1 and 4-3 against FC Cosmos and The Lion Leominster.
Please come along and support your local Sunday football
Many thanks,
Darren Coates
