HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL DAY – JANUARY 2020

27 January 2020 marks the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the former Nazi concentration and extermination camp.  On behalf of the people of Herefordshire, Herefordshire Council is commemorating this event by hosting a photo exhibition which reflects the dehumanising realities of the camp.  There are also written testimonies from survivors, quotations, and explanatory text.

The exhibition will be held in All Saints Church, Hereford (HR4 9AA), from 24-27 January 2020, from 8am-4pm (excluding Sunday).  The venue is accessible, and entry is free of charge.

This exhibition is only one of the multitude of international events marking Holocaust Memorial Day.  The aims of the day are many, but fundamentally it seeks to remember victims of the Holocaust, to help keep such human tragedies in our consciousness. While it may be a difficult exhibition to view, we hope that you will be able to attend.
