Change of Meeting Date

Following the sad news of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, we have postponed the Parish Council meeting originally planned for the 14th September 2022. This meeting will now be held on 28th September 2022, full details here and agenda here.

Section 243 of the Local Government Act 1972 excludes days of mourning for clear days calculation purposes – it is the period of notice that is affected. Had the three clear days’ notice for a council meeting not been completed by [the day the period of mourning began], the next day to be counted is [day after funeral / mourning period ie Tuesday 20 September].

We know everyone in the parish would join the Parish Council in extending our sincere condolences to the whole Royal Family at this very sad time for us all.
